Sister P. Wilson, of the Ashburton Public Hospital maternity ward, is at present on a holiday visit to. Australia. Mr E. B. Condell, who was for some years on the staff of the Ashburton branch of the Union Bank of Australia, Ltd., and latterly a relieving manager, has been appointed manager of the Tolago Bay branch. Mr C. A. Campion (chairman) was appointed delegate to the annual conference of Hospital Boards at Wellington, from May 5 to 7, by tlie Ashburton Hospital Board to-day. The Medical Superintendent (Mr A. J.,Mason) and the secretary (Mr T. E. Moore) will also attend the conference..
