MARSHAL TITO

RUMOURS CONCERNING IDENTITY Is He Russian General? (N Z.P.A.—Oopvrtsrfiti (Rec. 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 13. Rumours that Marshal BrozTito is really a Soviet general named Lobiediev, and not the former Croatian steel worker, Josip Broz, are current in East Europe, and especially in diplomatic circles in Belgrade, according to the Berlin newspaper, “Social Demokrat,” says Reuter’s Berlin correspondent, in an article called, “Is Tito Really Tito?” The paper, suggested that there were many signs to show that the real Tito was killed when the Germans made a parachute raid on his hideout near Zagreb in 1944. It quoted the Polish emigrant paper “Lech” for a report that Brpz’s brother and sister did not recognise the “new” Josip Broz Tito!
