GOVERNMENT RUSHES GRAIN AND FODDER SYDNEY, Feb. 12. Indian Army sappers sunk more than 1000 wells in Gujert, North Bombay, where the Bombay Government is taking energetic measures to meet the severe drought and famine. The Prime Minister (Mr Pandit Nehru) visited the stricken area, where 4,000,000 people and 1,000,000 head of r-attle are suffering from a prolonged shortage of water and food. No deaths have so far been reported. The Bombay Government has rushed 25,000 tons of grain and 20,000.000 tons of fodder to the affiliated areas.
