AFTER 3000 YEARS

LONDON, Jan. 7 The Jewish ehief of operations (Colonel Yadin) offered the fact that the Jews had not been in Egypt for the last 3000 years as a reason for the Israeli Army crossing the Egyptian frontier. “We did not intend to cross the border, but when the enemy kept running we ordered the troops to keep up the chase and cause as much havoc as possible.”
