LARGEST AMERICAN BOMBERS

PENDING OPERATIONS IN ALASKA Washington, Jan. 7. .American Air Force headquarters confirmed the report that 836 superbombers, the world’s largest, were being prepared for operations in Alaska, says the United Press. They said the move was in line with the practice of familiarising airmen with bases and flying conditions all over the world.

From Alaska the six-engined aircraft would iiave much of Russia within their demonstrated range of 8000 miles.
