WARMER CONDITIONS IN BRITAIN (Rec. 9.40 a.in.) LONDON, .Tan. 6. Melting snow and heavy rains caused widespread flooding in Northern Ireland as the cold spell of the past few days gave way to warmer conditions all over Britain. The main roads in England and Scotland were generally clear of ice and snow.
