MIXED BABIES CASE IN AUSTRALIA

APPEAL AGAINST COURT a JUDGMENT MELBOURNE, Dec. 8. An appeal has been lodged in the “mixed babies” case. Mrs Jenkins contends that. Mr Justice Barry wrongly directed that the child known as Nola Jenkins be ordered into the custody of Mr and Mrs W. 11. Morrison; that he Avrongly held that Nola Avas the Morrison’s child; and that it would be against the welfare of Nola that she be taken from Mr and Mrs Jenkins. In his recent judgment, Mr Justice Barry found that the children of Mrs Jenkins and Mrs Morrison had been mixed up in the Kyneton Hospital after their birth in 1945.
