KIDNEY OPERATION

U.S. SECRETARY OF STATE (Roc. 1.0) WASHINGTON, Dec. 7. • The Secretary of State, Mr G. C. Marshall, underwent a kidney operation at an army hospital to-day. The hospital announced later that the “operation was successful. Mr Marshall is doing excellently, and no complications are anticipated.” Sources outside Mr Marshall’s office said the surgeon removed a kidney.
