REP. TRIALS

AJHLETICS

ASHBURTON JUNIOR PERFORMS WELL Several members of the Ashburton Amateur Athletic Club competed at Christchurch on Saturday in the Canterbury representative trials. Owing to the meeting starting at 2 p.m. and such a large programme to be got through, the Ashburton members were obliged to leave before they had competed in several events. Had they had the chance to compete earlier no doubt Ashburton would have been well represented. B. Cameron won the junior high jump and is the sole Ashburton man in the Canterbury team to meet Otago next Saturday.
