WOMAN MOTORIST CONVICTED
INTOXICATED IN CHARGE OF CAR (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 6. A woman motorist, Edith Ai’oha Day, aged 44, domestic, was fined £3O and her licence was cancelled for three years when she was convicted in the Magistrate’s Court to-day before Mr H. J. Thompson, S.M. of being intoxicated in charge of a car in the city on Saturday evening. Accused pleaded guilty. Sub-Inspector Brown said accused had been convicted in January, 1947, of a similar offence, when she was fined £2O and her licence cancelled for a year.
