CANADIAN INTEREST IN REVIVAL OTTAWA, July 24. At the invitation of General MacArthur, General H. D. Crerar, who commanded the Ist Canadian Army during the war, will leave for Japan on July 28, announced the prime Minister, Mr Mackenzie King. The visit, is intended to emphasise Canada’s interest in the revival of trade in the Far East and to gain information to assist Canada to formulate its views on the Japanese peace settlement. The Canadian delegation accompanying General Crerar will include Mr Rolapd Bock, president of the Canadian Lumbermen’s Association.
