TINWALD W.C.T.U.

SPECIAL MEETING HELD A special meeting of the Tinwald branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union was held in the Methodist Church recently when the president, Mrs Millar, presided over a good attendance of members. Motions of sympathy were passed with members who are sick. Plans of work were discussed, and the syllabus for 1947 was drawn up. It was agreed to hold a Cradle Roll party in the church grounds on Saturday, February 22 and to hold the next meeting of the branch on February 20 instead of February 27.

It was also decided to commence the Band of Hope meetings again as soon as the necessary arrangements can be made. Afternoon tea was served in the schoolroom. ;
