POLISH UNDERGROUND
MEMBERS SENTENCED TO DEATH WARSAW, Dec. 11. On charges of attempting to overthrow the provisional regime by force, and being financed by intelligence officers of General Anders’ army, who are operating from Regensburg, a Poiisn military tribunal sentenced to death six members of an underground organisation. It also sentenced the wite of one of those condemned to years’ imprisonment, and five other defendants to from seven to'lo years imPl The sentences were passed simultaneously with reports of fresh attacks by the underground, including a laid on Krasnystaw, where nearly all the houses were reported to be buined and 36 wounded, also on villages in t Bialystock, Rzeszow and Cracow districts.
