WOOL FOR SPAIN
CONTINUED BOYCOTT 1 (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. ~ Seamen report that the Wellington, branch of the New Zealand‘Seamen's Union has refused, to handle wool destined for Spain in spite of the recommendation by the National Council of the ,New Zealand Federation of Labour against unilateral actidn by the New Zealand Trade Union movement. f - The Seamen’s Union office declined - to supply any information on the Wellington decision, but Wellington members insist that they have declared for continued boycott on wool fr Spain. Good Clearance Being Made A good clearance of wool is being made on the Wellington waterfront, with five overseas ships loading. An effort is being made to clear all wool on order before the crutchings sale in Wellington on September 18, when wool will be sold by 1 auction for the first time for six years." Yesterday ships were loading wool for Britain’s market, the United States, Belgium and India.
