Negligence Alleged —Three officers at the Long Bay gaol, Sydney, will be charged with negligence as the result of an inquiry by the Public Service Board into the escape of two prisoners. In announcing this the Minister of Justice said that the Board reported it was evident that the prisoners could have escaped only with the active cooperation of fellow prisoners. Two escapees were captured. They had sewed themselves in sacks and left the prison in a truck.
