“Will the Minister inform the House if it is proposed to collect returns of livestock only once every two years,” asked Mr D. C. Kidd (Opposition, Waitaki) in notice of a question to the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon. B. Roberts) in the Tkspse of Representatives to-day. Mr Kidd asked if the Minister would reconsider the position with a view to collecting returns annually and altering the date of collection to June 30, as accurate information was necessary for measuring increases or decreases in production. \

Wool Brokers’ Schedule. —He was informed that the practice of supplying wool brokers with a schedule of prices commonly known as “brareme” was to be discontinued, said Mr W. H. Gillespie (Opposition, Hnrunui), in notice to a question to the Minister of Marketing. Mr Gillepsie asked that brokers be supplied with this schedule so that they could adequately protect the interests of producers.

Rangiora Level Crossing. —A request that the Minister of Railways (the Hon. R. Semple) give consideration to the installation of a flashing light signal at the level crossing at High Street. Rangiora, was made by Mr Gillespie, in notice of a question. He said that as alterations were being made to the Rangiora yards, the time appeared opportune to do this necessary work.
