FIVE-A-SIDE TOURNEY BARING SQUARE WIN In lieu of the competitions, a five-a-side tournament was played at Ashburton on Saturday under the auspices of the Ashburton Men’s Sub-Associa-tion. Fourteen teams took part. The tournament was played in three sections. Baring Square won the A section, Ashburton tlie B, and Barr hill (with Wakanui runners-up) the C. The winners of the A and B sections played off for the final, Baring Square winning by 4 goals to 1.
