SECRET MEETING
HIROHITO AND MACARTHUR • ! (Rec. 10.30 a.m.) TOKIO, May 31. Hirohito to-day paid a secretly-ar-ranged visit to General MacArthur at the United States Embassy. In a conference which lasted an hour and a half he is reported to have discussed food and ‘reconstruction. The only other person present was Terasaki, of the Imperial Household Ministry, who acted as interpreter.
