Mr George Warriner, son of Mr and Mrs A. P. Warriner, Walnut Avenue, has been a successful competitor in the Christchurch Competitions. In the men’s solo test he was highly commended; in the Leider song for men he was second with 86 points, and in the New Zealand championship, open class, for which there are 65 entries, he has been recalled as a semi-finalist. The prize for this is 50 guineas.
