CESSION OF SARAWAK
RAJAH RETURNING HOME (Rec. 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, Mar. 27. The Colonial Secretary, Mr G. H. Hall, announced in the House of Commons that the Rajah of Sarawak was leaving for Sarawak on April 5, to take over administration from the military authorities. Arrangements had also been made for two members of Parliament, Mr R. Williams and Captain L. D. Gammans, to visit Sarawak in order to confirm by independent inquiry that the proposals for the Rajah’s cession of territory to Britain is acceptable to the native communities.
