ASHBURTON STOCK MARKET «S> * ~ There was a short yarding of fat sheep at the fortnightly Ashburton stock market, to-day, and consequently prices were increased, compared with those at the previous sale. Values for wethers and ewes were advanced from 2s to 3s a head. The range for ewes was: Prime 21s to 25s Id; medium 19s to 20s 6d; light up to 18s. J. Anthony, of Racecourse Road, Ashburton, topped the market for lambs with one at 36s 6d. Wethers brought from 30s lOd to 37s Gd. The market for hoggets was topped by W. Kennedy, of Elgin, with three at 35s 7d. Principal sales up to noon were: Ewes. —On account W. J.
