BASEBALL.

SCHOOLS HOLD TOURNAMENT Rakaia, Tinwald, Hinds and Eiffelton took part in a baseball tournament in the Eiffelton School grounds. Shortage of time did not permit all games being completed, but on aggregate points Tinwald were the winners in both grades with Eiffelton, Hinds and Rakaia following in that order.

Before the departure of the visiting teams, the players were assembled and Mr O. D. Sewell (headmaster of the Tinwald School), on behalf of children and teachers thanked Miss Spencer (Physical Education Specialist) who .organised the tournament. He presented her with a box of chocolates as a token of appreciation. Replying Miss Spencer congratulated the players on the skill they had, shown in the new game, and expressed that a similar tournament would ho held next year.
