TINWALD CLUB’S ROAD RACE Eight riders faced the starter in a road race of 18 miles (three laps of the Wakanui Block) held by the Tinwald Cycling Club on Saturday. There were three starters off the limit of seven minutes, two of whom held on to fill first and second places J. Sampson, who rode alone off scratch, did not complete the course. Following were the results: —J. Whyte (7min), 54 min 46 2.55ec., 1; R. Gluestein (7min), 54min 47sec., 2; D. Whyte N. Olds (Slmin), 4. , Fastest time went to D. Whyte and second fastest time (50min 9sec) to C. Gluestein.

There were four starters in a novice race, H. and S.Kircher filling first and second places respectively.
