BOWLING
ASHBURTON CLUB The committee of the Ashburton Bowling Club met last night, the president (Mr E. H. Orr) presiding. Fixtures for the season were arranged as follows! —Matches with Methven, at Methven, on December 15, and at Ashburton on February 23; progressive pairs tournament at Ashburton on Boxing Day; Linwood, at Ashburton, on February 2; and, Opawa, at Opawa, on February 16. The club’s competition gajnes were reported to be well forward, and it was decided that the first round must be completed by Saturday next.
