COAL SHORTAGE.
UNITED NATIONS SCHEME. (Rec. 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 31. Owing to the acute coal shortage in Europe, the Governments of Belgium, Denmark, France, Greece, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Turkey, and the United States have agreed to join the British Government in establishing an advisory body which will co-ordinate supply arrangements. Other Allied nations have been invited to join in the scheme.
