ALL-BRITISH.

SOUTH-EAST ASIA COMMAND. (Rec. 12.30 p.m.) BOMBAY, May 31. American Air Force units have been withdrawn from tlie Eastern Air Command, which now becomes an R.A.F. formation, says the Australian Associated Press correspondent in Burma. The withdrawal of the Americans to another theatre means that the SouthEast Asia Command, to" all intents and purposes, has became all-British. This is another major step in the reorganisation of Allied forces in South-east Asia in preparation for the coming allout offensive against Japan. MajorGeneral v Statemever to-day relinquishes command of tlie Eastern Air Command, and is succeeded by AirMarshal W. A. Coryton.
