RED CROSS SOCIETY.

MAYFIELD SUB-BRANCH. The Mayfield sub-branch of the Red Cross Society held a very successful bazaar and dance in the Band Hall, the satisfactory sum of £IOO being raised. The president (Mrs J. J. Mulligan) introduced Mr J. W. McKergow, who formally declared the bazaar open. Winners of competitions were Mesdames M. A. Burgess, G. Marsh, G. Porteous, C. Gunn and Misses N. Branch and J. Ellery. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs M. Collison and Mr D. Histen, and the master of ceremonies was Mr G. H. Lamb. The following were the stallholders: Cakes, Mesdames G. J. Murdoch, M. Murdoch, J.. Blair and Miss McCormick ; general, Mesdames C. Dunstan, R. Austin and W. Biddick; produce, Mesdames R. and S. Millar and M. Whiting; supper, Mrs G. H. Lamb and helpers.
