RED CROSS SOCIETY.

THE METHVEN SUB-BRANCH. , The Methven sub-branch of the Red Cross Society, at its monthly meeting, made arrangements for the Junior Red Cross picnic. Mrs Dalton was coopted to the committee, and Mrs N. Mclntosh as wool distributor. Mesdames Stone and Heasley were appointed delegates to the Ashburton Centre. , Mrs Stone was added to the entertainments committee. It was decided that leaflets giving the programme for the year be distributed to members. The president (Mrs J. F. Stone) presided.
