YEAR’S QUOTA EXCEEDED. With an excess of £2204, the year’s quota of tho Ashburton National Savings ( £36,660) has been over-sub-scribed. Investments this week were a record, £3996, including a carryover of £l5O from last week, being deposited. Investments yesterday, £3794, were a record for one day. This amount included an extra large number of bonds. Deposits made to-day will be included in tlie quota for next week, which is the first of tlie financial year.
