YUGOSLAV AID.

SUPPLIES FOR HUNGARIANS. BERLIN DEFENDS GERMAN ACTION. (Rec. 1.20 p.m.) LONDON, Mar. 23. The Hungarian Army of Liberation has received promises of arms, ammunition and supplies from the Yugoslav Army. The Hungarians will probably shortly he joined by 5000 Hungarian guerillas who have been fighting with the Yugoslavs and‘who have received permission to join up with their own nations.

The Hungarian diplomatic representatives at Stockholm split over the new situation. The military attache, Lieutenant-Colonel Kobor, and his assistant, also his secretary, dissociated themselves from the declaration of the Hungarian Minister (Peter de Matuska) who described the now Hungarian Government, as a quisling hand of malefactors.

The Hungarian'Legation at Berne has refused to acknowledge the puppet government.

An official statement issued in Berlin says that, the German action in Hungary was necessary in order to prevent repetition of the Badoglio betrayal. It was also necessary to solve the Jewish problem with the utmost vigour as Germany is unable to defend South-east, Europe while 1,000,000 Jews are living in Hungary in rear of the German forces.
