PATRIOTIC KNITTING.

The Ashburton Patriotic Wool Depot, which closed to-day for the holiday season, sent out the following articles during December:—Red Cross: Four pair winter pyjamas; three hospital blue pullovers, seven orderly gowns, made by the Cavendish Club Welfare Circle. Air Force Relations: Twenty-four sleeveless pullovers, £SO scarves, 29 cr&nwells, 40 balaclavas, r. 9 pair mittens. Navy League: Eight, pairs socks, three scarves. Canterbury Provincial Patriotic Council: Thirteen scarves. 27 balaclavas, 26 pairs mittens and 32 hold-alls.
