RAID ON NORWAY.

PRINCIPAL NAZI REPAIR BASE.

ATTACK BY AMERICAN BOMBERS LONDON, Nov. 18. Unescorted formations of United Liberators attacked the principal repair and maintenance base of the Luftwaffe in Norway, at Kjellar, 11 miles north-east of Oslo, to-day. The United States headquarters in Europe announces that eight enemy aircraft were destroyed by the Liberators.

From this operation nine bombers are missing.

The aerodrome attacked services chiefly single-engined fighters and is comparable in size and activity with the German repair bases in the Low Countries which have been subject to American attack by air.—British Official Wireless.
