WOMEN’S DIVISION.

MITCHAM • ROKEBY. The monthly meeting of the Mitcham - Rokeby Women’s- Division of the Farmers’ Union was held at the residence of Mrs R. D. Penney, Mrs Ziegler presiding. It was reported that soldiers’ parcel fund had benefited by £3 10s from a recent card evening. Arrangements for the celebration of the branch’s birthday were finalised. Six balaclavas were handed in for the Merchant Navy, and six traycloths for a soldiers’ hospital. It was decided to donate to the Rokeby School the usual prize for writing. Competitions were for the best bloom, a tray-cloth from a flour-hag, and spring flowers judged for effect.
