SEEDS FOR RUSSIA.
Sir,—-1 must thank you for tlie publicity, given to the “Seeds for Russia Campaign” launched at the last meeting of the Mid-Canterbury Executive of the Farmers’ Union, but wish to point out that this was to be referred to the next meeting of the Dominion Executive, not the Dominion Conference, as stated in your report. Further the report places undue prominence upon my reference to the fact that such action may lead to a market for our seeds in Russia after the war. A full report of what I said would have shown that the great consideration was to give some tangible expression of sympathy and goodwin to the Russian farmer. My passing reference to the fact that such action may assist the finding of a market for our seeds after the war should not be taken to mean that it was a main contributing factor in the proposed action. T. V. WILKINSON.
