TINNING OF BUTTER.

k for overseas parcels. INVESTIGATION BEING MADE. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. “The whole matter of the tinning of butter for overseas parcels is now under review,” the Minister of Marketing (the Hon. J. G. Barclay) stated when referring to comments in the press on the quality of butter when received overseas. ‘‘lt has been decided to hold up the further canning of butter until full investigation has taken place, but in the meantime all orders in hand for overseas parcels will be completed.” The Minister said it was not certain that the canning of butter would be resumed after the investigation was completed, because the present situation would not warrant the possible waste of such a valuable commodity as butter.
