NEWLY-ESTABLISHED.
JUNIOR RED CROSS BODIES. Two new junior sub-byanehes of the Red Cross Society—one at the Allen-, ton School and one at the Conventhad been formed, bringing the junior sub-branches in Mid-Canterbury up to a total of 15. There are 30 senior subbranches in the Mid-Canterbury Centre, and it is the aim of the centre to establish junior organisations in all districts where there are senior subbranches. It was announced yesterday by the secretary of the Mid-Canterbury Centre (Mrs J. Bennett) that it was hoped to obtain an organiser for the district in the near future and the establishment of junior sub-branches would then be speeded up. Great work for health camps and children in hospitals was being:, done by the existing junior sub-branches.
