LULL IN BATTLE.

ALLIED PATROLS ACTIVE. LONDON, May 3. Tlie communique issued by Allied ‘Headquarters in North Africa states that there was a lull on the Tunisian battlefront yesterday. Local enemy attacks were repulsed and some prisoners were taken. Boston light bombers and fighterbombers of the Tactical Air Force attacked enemy transport positions and caused fires in the target area. Fighters maintained patrols over the battle area. Two enemy fighters were destroyed, and a Beaufighter of the Tactical Air Force shot down a bomber. Two of our aircraft are missing.
