RESULTS OF MIXED FOURSOME.
A mixed foursome for trophies presented by Mr and Mrs J. Sinclair was played by the Ashburton Golf Club yesterday. Mrs Todd and S. W. Gower were the winners, returning a score oi 94-26, 78. Best scores among the remainder were returned hv the following: Mrs Ivellett and E. S. Rishworth, 87-18, 69; Mrs Vezey and W. H. Amos, 90-18, 72 ; Mrs Sinclair and L. Harper, 94-22, 72 ; Mrs Owen and M. Wellington. 103-30, 73; Mrs Truman and F. P. Fogarty, 91-17, 74; Miss Holland and O. Vial, 96-22, 74; Mrs allbone and IT. A. Vozoy, 100-25, 75.
HOCKEY AND BASKETBALL.
NO GAMES ON SATURDAY. As the grounds were not in a satisfactory condition no hockey was played on Saturday. Members of the teams spent the afternoon getting the grounds ready, and the season will open with competition games on May 15.
Practice basketball games were held and players were graded.
