(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, April 29.

Fleet Air Arm Albacores sank at least one R-boat and severely damaged others in a convoy of about 12 off the coast of France last night. The boats were first attacked just after midnight, about three miles off Ber Ck. When a second attack was made four hours later the boats were (according to one Albacore pilot) “milling around in a complete shambles, following one another like sheep. In the centre of the circle was an R-boat blazing furiously amidships. We cannot definitely claim more than one sunk but the damage to the rest must have been severe.”

Mustangs of the Army Co-operation Command destroyed an enemy bomber in the Nbith Sea this afternoon.

A Typhoon of the fighter command intercepted and destroyed twe enemy fighters in the- channel this evening.— British Official Wireless.
