WRECKAGE FOUND.
AIR-LINER CRASH IN PERU. (Rec. 10.15 a.m.) LIMA, Jan. 24. The wreckage of a missing air-liner carrying 15 passengers, which was reported missing yesterday, was sighted by air 350 miles south-east of Lima. Signs of life were noted
A search party is proceeding to the spot.
A message received from Lima last night stated: Rescue parties have plunged into the mountains of southern Peru seeking an aeroplane missing between Santiago and Lima with 15 aboard, including two members of the British Diplomatic Service.
