(P.A.) WELLINGTON, January 23. The second day of the W ellington Racing Club’s summer meeting vas held?to-day, in beautiful sunny weather and before a large attendance, track was in fast order. A furlono - from the start ol the Mungaroa.. High-weight, Royal Melton fell, the jockey R. J- Hayes being injured. An inquiry was held and adjourned until a statement is obtaine from Hayes, ~ N. Holland, rider of Tutero m the Wellington Racing Club Handicap, was thrown at the barrier, the horse standing on and breaking one oi Holland s legs. The committee decided the incident was accidental. . The adjourned inquiry into the fail of J. Garth on Transcript m the Inal Plato on the first day was resumed, and it Avas - decided the occurrence was accidental. ; The totalisator handled £L-V yi compared with £100,136 10s on the corresponding day last year, an increase of £72,644 10s. The total for the meeting was £318,861, an increase ot £140,902 on tho same meeting last year. Concluding results: — Camp Handicap, of £400; seven fur-longs—l-1 Glenfalloch 8.5 (W.
