BOMBS OVER BRITAIN.
INCENDIARIES CAUSE FIRES. TWO RAIDERS DESTROYED. LONDON. July 7. North-east coast towns in England were attacked by German bombers last night, one receiving hundreds of incendiary bombs which caused numerous fires. Most of the fires were soon under control. One German bomber was destroyed over Britain and another shot down by a British fighter near its base in Northern France. • RAID IN EARLY MORNING. (Roe, 1 p.m.) LONDON. July 7. An official communique states: “Early this morning a few enemy aircraft flew near the south coast of England. -Slight machine-gun fire caused damage.—British Official Wireless.
