FIRST-AID BOXES.

DEMONSTRATION OF THEIR USE. The advantages of having a first aid box in the home for use in an emergency were demonstrated by Mrs A. J. Mason (Dr. Rutherford) at a meeting of about 30 members of the Ashburton sub-branch of the Red Cross Society yesterday. It was decided that 100 first aid boxes be filled, and that members meet next Tuesday afternoon to assist in this effort. Arrangements for the street appeal on May 15 were made. Mrs Stayt was appointed convener of the produce stall and Mrs Livingstone convener of the cake stall. It was decided to have a stall for the sale of first aid boxes, at the price of 2s and a demonstration of the use of them given by V.A.D.’s.
