ENEMY VESSELS SUNK.

AMERICAN SUBMARINE’S VICTIM WASHINGTON, April 20. The United States Navy has reported that Commander Grenfell, commander ;of a United States submarine, recently sank a 5000-ton vessel in the Western Pacific. Later he sighted a Japanese submarine, at which he fired three torpedoes, severely damaging her. Commander Grenfell and three other officers have been decorated with the Navy Cross for sinking six enemy ships in Japanese waters.
