PERSONAL.
The Mayor (Dr. J. Connor) and the County Clerk (Mr G. Kelly) will go to Christchurch to morrow to attend a meeting of the Canterbury Provincial Executive of the Patriotic Fund.
The committee of the Ashburton Imperial Harmonica Band presented a gold-mounted fountain pen to Mr Allan ■Scott, who is going into camp, in appreciation of his services to. the Band.
Mr W. Bryant left this morning for Waipiata, where he will represent the Ashburton Hospital Board at a meeting of the Sanatorium Committee to-mor-row. He will return to Ashburton on F riday,
