A fine of £2 10s, with 10s costs, was imposed. Unregistered Trailer. Ralph Christie. Rollo was charged with having used an unregistered trailer and with having operated a vehicle in which: the current warrant of fitness was not carried. Defendant was fined £2, with 10s costs, on the first charge and 10s, with 10s costs, on the second. Arrears of Maintenance. Charles Stanley Gourdie was charged with having failed to keep up payments under a maintenance order, he being £Ol in arrears to February 6. It was stated that the order was for £2. Defendant had spent two terms in prison in the meantime and £32 had been paid to defendant’s wife by the Social Security Department. Defendant said lie had been ill and out of work for a time. He had lost his job for taking a drink at work. Working’ at Highbank lately he hart been making about £8 a week. “Jt looks as if you are trying to dodge your obligations under this order,” said the Magistrate. Defendant, who said he thought he could make payments of £3 a week in future, was sentenced to six. months in gaol, the warrant to bo suspended so long as he keeps up payment of £3 a week.
