PICTURE MAGNATE CONVICTED. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Rec. 12.40.) NEW YORK, Oct. 21. A‘ message from Philadelphia states that the United States District Court sentenced William Fox, the former millionaire motion picture executive, to imprisonment for one year, and a day and fined him 3000 dollars on a charge of conspiracy to obstruct justice and to defraud the Government. Counsel said that an .appeal to the Supreme Court would be made. Fox was released on bail for 15,000 dollars.
