FEARS IN AMERICA

WARLIKE MOVE BY JAPANESE. POLICY OF THE NEW CABINET RELATIONS WITH THE AXIS. (United Press Association —Copyright.) (Rec. 1.10) WASHINGTON, Oct. 19. The fears that Japan intends to make some warlike move grew during the week-end, following the announcement of the personnel and policy of the new army-controlled .Japanese Cabinet. The declaration of the new Cabinet, that it will strengthen Japan’s relations with the Axis is interpreted as undermining the whole effect of its reported desire to resume the talks with the United States. In a. broadcast statement Mr \\cndell Willkie said: “We must abandon hope of peace. Wo can no more negotiate for peace with the war lords of Tokio than with Hitler. Berlin, Rome and Tokio are irrevocably lined by the dangerous dream of world conquest.”
