EMPIRE WAR CABINET.

OPPOSED BY CANADIAN PREMIER MONTREAL, September 8. The Prime Minister of Canada (Mr W. L. Mackenzie King) returned to Canada from Britain aboard a Liberator bomber. Mr Mackenzie King, on his arrival expressed increased opposition to the idea of an Empire war cabinet. He said his opinion agreed with that of most British officials. He hinted that new war moves may follow with surprising rapidity. He also revealed that Mr Churchill had said that he was anxious that communication should be maintained between Vichy and the British Empire. This, could be done through the Vichy Minister in Ottawa and a Canadian representative in Vichy.
