RECRUITS OBTAINED.

IMPERIAL HARMONICA BAND The committee of the Ashburton Imperial Harmonica Band is making every endeavour to obtain new players to replace the many members who have gone overseas and others who are due to go into camp. Last night 12 women and two men joined the band, but there are still vacancies for players of either sex.

The committee has also been fortunate in procuring three and a half dozen new mouth organs from a ship ment landed in Christchurch last week. These organs have been on order for nine months. The Band is now in the position to supply all its members with a new organ and solid practice can be put in for the championship contest to be held at Dunedin next Easter.
